I retired from Hallmark Cards in 1998 after twenty-three creative and fun years as a corporate graphic designer.  Deciding to get a pet for the family, I  began my journey that included our Golden Retriever, Sadie.  It all started as I began sketching her due to her abounding energy and crazy antics.  Then painting these sketches, I started receiving requests from friends, local clients, galleries, as well as people from Virginia to San Francisco to paint their loved ones.  I have completed a variety of commissions of family members, pets with their owners, and pets of all kinds; cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, horses and donkeys.

I enjoy the true pleasure of working from my home studio and meeting people wanting to express love through a Keepsake Portrait personally painted just for them and their loved ones.  

Painting a portrait from photography is the key to a great likeness.  I complete the photography myself if the client is local, or I can work from favorite photos sent to me via computer or mail.  The portraits can be completed in a variety of sizes determined by the client’s needs and I will complete in black and white or in full color.
